What to Expect
Your Biostimulators treatment is comfortable and customized to your needs.
- For PRP/PRF: A small amount of blood is drawn from your arm and placed into a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma or fibrin. These concentrated growth factors are then injected into targeted areas of the face, neck, or scalp to promote new cell growth, tissue repair, and collagen production.
- For Sculptra®: Your provider will inject small amounts of Sculptra®, a collagen-stimulating injectable made from poly-L-lactic acid, into precise facial areas. Sculptra® gradually improves volume and elasticity over a few weeks as your skin generates new collagen.
Treatments usually take 30 to 60 minutes and involve minimal discomfort. Numbing options are available to ensure comfort.
RECOVERY & RESULTS
You might experience mild redness, swelling, or tenderness in the treated areas for a few hours to a few days following your session, but these effects are temporary and fade quickly. As collagen and elastin production increase, results develop gradually, with most patients beginning to see visible improvements within a few weeks and continued enhancement over the following months.
- PRP/PRF: A series of three to six sessions spaced one month apart provides the best results.
- Sculptra®: Typically performed in three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, with results lasting up to two years.

PRP and PRF are natural concentrates derived from your own blood that use growth factors to repair and regenerate tissue. Most patients are able to return to their regular activities right away. Mild swelling or redness may occur but often resolves within a few days.
We usually recommend a customized treatment plan that includes several sessions of PRP/PRF and a series of Sculptra® treatments for the most natural and lasting results.

Avoid alcohol, aspirin, or ibuprofen for 24 hours before your appointment to reduce bruising risk. Come with clean skin free of makeup or lotion.
Keep the area clean and avoid heavy exercise or heat exposure for 24 hours. Your provider may recommend gently massaging the treated areas after Sculptra® to help evenly distribute the product.
