Recovery & Results
You may develop some minor temporary redness or bruising at the injection sites, but this should fade within the first week. You should protect your skin from the sun after treatments, but Botox and Dysport generally don’t require any downtime or special care.
Neurotoxins start to work within the first 2-5 days and continue a gradual and progressive onset until it is fully set by 14 days. The neurotoxin is then slowly metabolized out of the body over the next 3 months and the muscle gradually returns to full mobility. Once mobility starts to return the lines and creases will begin to return as well. Repeated muscle contractions accelerate the damage of collagen wherever the skin folds.
